Yordenis Ugas is still the WBA welterweight champion. After going 12 rounds with former eight-division champ Manny Pacquiao, Ugas retained his belt by unanimous decision in the main event on Saturday night from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Ugas, 35, moved to 27-4 as a pro and 12-1 since 2015. The Cuban’s lone slip up in the last six years came against Shawn Porter for the WBC title when he lost by split decision. He adds Pacquiao’s name to his growing resume that includes Abel Ramos, Mike Dallas Jr., Omar Figueroa Jr., Ray Robinson and Thomas Dulorme.

Now, Pacquiao, 42, faces an uncertain future in the fight game as he seems ready to prepare for a presidential run in the Philippines, where he currently serves as a senator.

Elsewhere on the card, fellow Filipino Mark Magsayo made a thunderous statement with a vicious 10th-round knockout of Julio Ceja. Magsayo, 26, put Ceja out cold with a pair of punches up against the ropes that left the former champion motionless for several moments before he was helped up onto the stool and eventually out of the ring. Magsayo now sits as the No. 1 contender for the WBC featherweight title, currently held by Gary Russell Jr.
