Cristiano Ronaldo goal: Superstar scores on second Manchester United debut, sends Old Trafford into a frenzy

Cristiano Ronaldo scored on his Manchester United return on Saturday as the Red Devils hosted Newcastle United on Matchday 4. The Potuguese superstar, in his second stint with the club, found the back of the net late in the first half to give his team a 1-0 lead. The striker was attentive to a blunder by the Newcastle goalkeeper, pouncing on a loose ball for an easy tap-in. 

It was a quick, expected start after CR7 was named to the starting XI for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The ball came off a blocked shot from Mason Greenwood, and Ronaldo was just in the right spot at the right time.

Well, that really comes as no surprise. The prolific legend, who just joined the team from Juventus, looked comfortably early on with the favorites dominating the ball from the very beginning. He didn’t have a lot of good looks in the first half, but he bounced on his best one, cleaning up what always looked like a sure goal.
