What to Know
The Colorado State Rams have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome the Vanderbilt Commodores at 10 p.m. ET Sept. 11 at Canvas Stadium.
The matchup between Colorado State and the S. Dakota St. Jackrabbits last week was not particularly close, with the Rams falling 42-23. Colorado State was down 35-10 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. The losing side was boosted by QB Todd Centeio, who passed for one TD and 316 yards on 43 attempts.
Meanwhile, Vanderbilt received a tough blow last week as they fell 23-3 to the ETSU Buccaneers. What made the loss an especially bitter pill for Vanderbilt to swallow was that they had been favored by 21 points coming into the game. QB Ken Seals had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: besides failing to produce a single touchdown, he threw two interceptions and fumbled the ball once with only 5.18 yards per passing attempt.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory. We’ll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
