After not practicing all week due to toe and ankle injuries, Raiders running back Josh Jacobs has been ruled out of the team’s Week 2 matchup with the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Kenyan Drake is slated to replace Jacobs in the starting lineup.

Jacobs had 11 total touches for 40 yards and two touchdowns in the Raiders’ season-opening victory over the Ravens. Drake had just six carries for 11 yards but caught each of his five targets for 59 yards. A six-year veteran, Drake is slated to make his 38th career start Sunday in Pittsburgh. Drake is coming off of a 2020 season that saw him rush for 955 yards and 10 touchdowns while also catching 25 passes for 137 yards in 15 games for the Cardinals

The Raiders will face a Steelers defense that allowed 117 yards on 25 rushing attempts in last week’s 23-16 victory over the Bills. A significant portion of that damage was done by Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen, who ran for 44 yards on 9 carries. Devin Singletary rushed for 72 yards on 11 carries that included runs of 25 and 15 yards in the fourth quarter.

Pittsburgh is a 6-point favorite over Buffalo, according to Caesars Sportsbook, with the over/under currently set at 47 points.
