Who’s Playing
South Carolina State @ New Mexico State
Current Records: South Carolina State 0-2; New Mexico State 0-3
What to Know
The New Mexico State Aggies will be returning home after a two-game road trip. They will square off against the South Carolina State Bulldogs at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday at Aggie Memorial Stadium.
New Mexico State came up short against the New Mexico Lobos last week, falling 34-25.
Meanwhile, the evening started off rough for South Carolina State last week, and it ended that way, too. They were pulverized by the Clemson Tigers 49-3. The Bulldogs were in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 35-3. One thing holding South Carolina State back was the mediocre play of QB Corey Fields, Jr., who did not have his best game: besides failing to produce a single touchdown, he threw one interception with a passing completion percentage of only 41.67%.
These two teams will surely be fighting tooth and nail to get back into the win column after losses last week. We’ll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
