Los Angeles Rams linebacker Kenny Young learned Sunday that you have to be careful around the referees. In the third quarter of their matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, Young was ejected for making contact with an official.
After a Jonathan Taylor run, Young had some words with Quenton Nelson and was visibly upset. He then got into an official’s face and made contact with the referee’s hat while voicing his frustration. Check out the video below:
After flags went flying, Young’s teammates calmed Young down. Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey and others came up to talk to him.
Three plays later, Carson Wentz found Zach Pascal for an eight-yard touchdown, and the successful two-point conversion cut the Rams’ lead to just three points. Young had recorded five combined tackles when he was suddenly disqualified, and his presence in the middle will be missed. He’s coming off of a career year with 52 combined tackles, one sack and one pick six in 2020.
