Through 3 Quarters

The Oregon Ducks were the heavy favorites here for a reason. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Stony Brook Seawolves 31-7 three quarters in. Nobody has stood out from the pack for the Ducks offensively yet, with RB Travis Dye being one of several leaders. He has rushed for one TD and 87 yards on 15 carries.

The Oregon defense has been merciless to QB Tyquell Fields and currently has three sacks accrued. Oregon might just be able to coast to victory if they can keep up that ball pressure

What to Know

The Stony Brook Seawolves are staring down a pretty large 42-point disadvantage in the spread for Saturday’s game. They are staying on the road Saturday to face off against the Oregon Ducks at 7:30 p.m. ET Sept. 18 at Autzen Stadium.

The Seawolves made easy work of the Colgate Raiders last week and carried off a 24-3 win.

Meanwhile, Oregon beat the Ohio State Buckeyes 35-28 last week. RB CJ Verdell had a dynamite game for Oregon; he rushed for two TDs and 161 yards on 20 carries in addition to snatching one receiving TD. Verdell put himself on the highlight reel with a 77-yard TD scramble in the third quarter.

Their wins bumped Stony Brook to 1-1 and Oregon to 2-0. We’ll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Stony Brook and the Ducks clash.
