Serie A Matchday 6 provides quite the matchup of attacking talent as Inter Milan host Atalanta on Saturday. The hosts enter the game with a 4-1-0 record and are just two points behind leaders Napoli, while the visitors are 3-1-1- and two points outside of the top four. Inter have the league’s best attack with 18 goals so far, and though Atalanta have only scored six, they’ve greatly improved defensively and are allowing less than a goal per game.

Storylines
Inter: Defensively there is plenty to work on, but most of it has been getting too far forward and then being caught out. The attack’s plan is quite clear, and it is to fine the feet or head of Eden Dzeko. The talented big man has been quite the replacement for Romelu Lukaku so far this season with four goals in five league games. If he can continue to deliver those nifty passes to set up Lautaro Martinez, and if he can also contribute and get into position to score, Inter should have enough in the end to claim the three points. Inter must start quicker though and see if they can win the battle in the air early.
Atalanta: It’s wild to think they’ve yet to score more than two goals in a game this season. After all, they scored at least four goals in three of their final five matches of last season. But the chances have been there. They’ve got double digit shots in four of their last five league games but only four goals to show for it. It feels like a matter of time before they explode. Could this be it? The Inter defense was poor against Fiorentina and should have conceded much more than the two goals. If they aren’t sharp here against this attack, it could be a long day.
