There’s no name as synonymous with AC Milan as Maldini. The surname of captain and defender Cesare Maldini of the 1960s and more recently legendary, iconic defender Paolo Maldini (1984-2009), it’s a name that spans generations of the club and has helped contribute to countless trophies. The latest Maldini, Daniel, is hoping for a similar legendary career. So far, he’s off to a great start.

Unlike his father and grandfather, he players higher up the pitch as an attacking midfielder. The 19-year-old Milan-born talent got his first Serie A start for the club on Saturday at Spezia (catch all the Serie A action only on Paramount+). And with it, he got his first goal for the club. In the 48th minute, he went back post and connected brilliantly on a cross to give his team the lead. Take a look:

A calm, cool finish and a celebration as if it was his 100th goal. A fine header his dad, who you can see in the clip watching from the stands as he’s the technical director, will certainly be proud of.
