Through 3 Quarters
The UAB Blazers are on the road but looking no worse for wear. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Tulane Green Wave 28-14 three quarters in. The Blazers are looking to build off of a victory while Tulane is hoping to get their season back on track after a defeat.
UAB has yet to string together two consecutive wins, but this may be their chance. For now, all signs point to yes.

What to Know
The UAB Blazers are staying on the road Saturday to face off against the Tulane Green Wave at 8 p.m. ET Sept. 25 at Benson Field at Yulman Stadium. The point spread is more or less neutral, so fans should expect a close contest.
You can’t lose the matchup if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Blazers’ strategy against the North Texas Mean Green last week. UAB took their game against North Texas by a conclusive 40-6 score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30 to nothing.
Meanwhile,’s it’s hard to picture a worse loss than the 61-21 bruising that Tulane suffered against the Ole Miss Rebels last week. The last quarter was a mere formality since it was already 61-21 by the third quarter. The losing side was boosted by QB Michael Pratt, who passed for two TDs and 166 yards on 18 attempts in addition to picking up 37 yards on the ground.
UAB is now 2-1 while Tulane sits at a mirror-image 1-2. Two defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: The Blazers are stumbling into the contest with the 215th most passing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up seven on the season. The Green Wave have experienced some struggles of their own as they are 238th worst in the nation in touchdowns allowed, with 16 on the season. It’s possible one of these Achilles’ heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
