Alabama picked up another marquee offensive line addition in the class of 2022 as four-star offensive lineman Elijah Pritchett committed to the defending national champions live on CBS Sports HQ. Pritchett selected the Crimson Tide over Florida State, Georgia and USC.
Listed at 6-foot-6 and 280 pounds, Pritchett has the physical traits to develop into a complete offensive lineman in Nick Saban’s strength program. The industry standard 247Sports Composite ranking lists Pritchett as the No. 94 overall player in the nation and No. 9 offensive tackle. Pritchett is ranked No. 8 in the talent-rich state of Georgia.
The addition of Pritchett pushes Alabama past Texas, Georgia and Ohio State into the No. 3 overall class in the 2022 cycle. Pritchett is the sixth top-100 recruit in Alabama’s 2022 class. The Crimson Tide have finished with the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class in 10 of the last 12 years.
As a junior, Pritchett helped lead his Carver High School squad to a 10-1 record and a third-round appearance in the Georgia AAAA state playoffs. Despite an enrollment of 1,100 students, Carver has churned out NFL-caliber football players in the last decade including Jarvis Jones, Isaiah Crowell and Chris Hubbard. Pritchett’s high school teammate, three-star athlete Devin Riles, is committed to Middle Tennessee.
