Dani Alves, super star free agent
Dani Alves, for example, is a luxury free agent and will remain so until January 2022: the decision was announced by the Brazilian, currently the most successful player in the world. Dani has received four offers including two approaches from Brazil, his answer was negative because he wants to decide calmly. Barcelona have not approached Alves so far and it has never been an option.
James Rodriguez heads to Qatar
James Rodriguez surprisingly signed with Al Rayyan in Qatar. the Colombian no longer wanted to stay at Everton where he was considered out of the project for months. Rafa Benitez gave the green light to his departure and the Qatari club took advantage of the occasion. James was also offered to AC Milan over the summer months, but Milan had other targets.
Andre Onana contemplates Inter Milan
Elsewhere, André Onana is out of contract in 2022. He announced to the Telegraaf that he will evaluate a short-term renewal with Ajax to make but he is not absolutely sure that it will happen. Inter have been working since months to sign him as free agent in June 2022 and the Cameroonian goalkeeper is the favorite to take Samir Handanovic’s place.

Chelsea negotiate contract extension with Rudiger
Chelsea are negotiating with Antonio Rudiger’s agent. There have been rumors about interest from Juventus but so far there are no confirmed contacts. Bayern Munich are also among the teams interested in the German defender but Chelsea remains the front-runner. First Chelsea will look to finalize an imminent agreement with Andreas Christensen, then try to find a solution for Rudiger who is among Tuchel’s favorites players.
Leverkusen plan to hold onto Wirtz
Speaking of Germany, Bayer Leverkusen have already decided that they want to keep youngster Florian Wirtz, born in 2003, in the club. There is no intention of selling him in June 2022, and there are still no valid buyout clauses in his contract. Leverkusen consider this player their future so do not intend to sell him.
Juventus near Dybala agreement
Finally, Juventus are in the final steps for the agreement with Paulo Dybala until 30 June 2025. A new contract is getting closer and closer. They are working on his salary, while the next priority will be to extend the contract of Juan Cuadrado, a key player for manager Max Allegri.
