One of the top uncommitted offensive linemen in the 2022 recruiting class will make his verbal pledge live Tuesday on CBS Sports HQ. Elijah Pritchett, a four-star offensive tackle out of Carver High School in Columbus, Georgia, will announce his decision at 3 p.m. ET. You can watch his announcement live in the video at the top of the page, on the CBS Sports App or via your connected device (Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV).
Alabama, Arizona State, Florida State, Georgia and USC make up Pritchett’s list of finalists heading into the decision. The Crimson Tide have taken a commanding lead in the 247Sports’ Crystal Ball projections after five Alabama picks since Friday.
Listed at 6-foot-6 and 280 pounds, Pritchett has the physical traits to develop into a complete offensive lineman. The industry standard 247Sports Composite rating lists Pritchett as the No. 94 overall player in the nation and No. 9 offensive tackle. Pritchett is ranked No. 8 in the talent-rich state of Georgia.
As a junior, Pritchett helped lead his Carver squad to a 10-1 record and a third-round appearance in the Georgia AAAA state playoffs. Despite an enrollment of 1,100 students, Carver has churned out NFL-caliber football players in the last decade including Jarvis Jones, Isaiah Crowell and Chris Hubbard. Pritchett’s high school teammate, three-star athlete Devin Riles, is committed to Middle Tennessee.
Alabama is off to a hot start in the class of 2022 with 11 blue-chip recruits committed, but Pritchett would be a major addition. The Georgia native would rank as the second-best offensive lineman in the Crimson Tide’s class.
