UAB vs. Liberty: How to watch, schedule, live stream info, game time, TV channel

Through 3 Quarters

The Liberty Flames were expected to take an ‘L’ in this one, but so far it isn’t playing out to script. After three quarters it’s looking more and more like their high-powered offense is just too much for the UAB Blazers as the Flames lead 24-3.

QB Malik Willis has led the way so far for Liberty, as he has passed for one TD and 287 yards on 18 attempts in addition to rushing for two TDs and 123 yards.

UAB has been relying on RB DeWayne McBride, who has picked up 56 yards on the ground on 11 carries, and RB Jermaine Brown Jr., who has picked up 37 yards on the ground on five carries.

Liberty @ UAB

Current Records: Liberty 3-1; UAB 3-1

What to Know

The UAB Blazers will be returning home after a three-game road trip. They will take on the Liberty Flames at 7 p.m. ET Saturday at Protective Stadium. The Blazers will be strutting in after a win while Liberty will be stumbling in from a defeat.

UAB was able to grind out a solid victory over the Tulane Green Wave last week, winning 28-21. The team accrued 21 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.

Meanwhile, it was close but no cigar for Liberty as they fell 24-21 to the Syracuse Orange last Friday. A silver lining for Liberty was the play of QB Malik Willis, who passed for three TDs and 205 yards on 19 attempts in addition to picking up 49 yards on the ground.

This next contest is expected to be close, with UAB going off at just a 3-point favorite. They have been consistent moneymakers against the spread when favored (2-0), so they might be worth a quick bet.

The Blazers’ win brought them up to 3-1 while the Flames’ loss pulled them down to an identical 3-1. A couple defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: UAB is stumbling into the matchup with the 235th most passing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up ten on the season. Liberty has experienced some struggles of their own as they are 139th worst in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, with five on the season. It’s possible one of these Achilles’ heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
