The Los Angeles Dodgers are heading to the National League Championship Series after outlasting the San Francisco Giants in the National League Division Series. In Thursday’s decisive Game 5 in the NLDS, Dodgers starter Max Scherzer served an unlikely closer as he picked up the first save of his career when he finished the game in the ninth inning.

After converting the save, it’s safe to say that the veteran pitcher was rather fired up. Much like he did following the Dodgers’ win in the National League Wild Card Game, Scherzer was full of emotion and decided to go shirtless once again as he celebrated with his teammates.

Scherzer was pacing around Oracle Park and celebrating with the crowd of Dodgers fans that were in attendance for Game 5. TBS analyst and former Boston Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martinez pointed out how much he enjoyed the amount of fun that Scherzer was having.

Obviously, this isn’t the first time that Scherzer showed off his personality by going shirtless.

After the National League Wild Card Game walk-off win over the St. Louis Cardinals, Scherzer ended up celebrating with former Washington Nationals teammate Juan Soto and now former Nationals hitting coach Kevin Long and proceeded to go shirtless

“You gotta get rid of this echo. Can’t talk. I’m drunk, whatever,” Scherzer told TBS during a postgame interview.

Now the Dodgers will face off against the Atlanta Braves in the NLCS. If the Dodgers are able to advance to their second consecutive World Series, it won’t exactly be a shock if we see Scherzer going shirtless yet again.
