Head coach Monty Williams will likely try to give Paul as much rest as possible during the regular season, especially since he dealt with various injuries last year.
Paul is 36 this season, so it’s safe to assume a dip in production is right around the corner. He might have had an excellent 2020-21 campaign, but his injuries and an expected drop in minutes make him a bust candidate this year. Paul is being drafted ahead of Malcolm Brogdon and Cade Cunningham, but the model expects those guards to be more productive.
