What to Know
The Portland Trail Blazers haven’t won a matchup against the Phoenix Suns since March 10 of last year, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Saturday. Rip City will take on Phoenix at 10 p.m. ET at Moda Center at the Rose Quarter after having had a few days off. The Trail Blazers are the slight favorite, but fans of both teams should be in for an exciting game likely to go down to the wire.
It was close but no cigar for Rip City as they fell 124-121 to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. The losing side was boosted by CJ McCollum, who shot 6-for-11 from downtown and finished with 34 points, five assists and six boards.
Meanwhile, Phoenix was able to grind out a solid win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, winning 115-105. The Suns can attribute much of their success to point guard Chris Paul, who posted a double-double on 23 points and 14 dimes along with five rebounds, and small forward Mikal Bridges, who had 21 points in addition to five rebounds.
