What to Know
The Chicago Bulls are getting right back to it as they host the Detroit Pistons at 8 p.m. ET Oct. 23 at United Center. The Bulls should still be riding high after a win, while Detroit will be looking to right the ship.
Chicago strolled past the New Orleans Pelicans with points to spare on Friday, taking the contest 128-112. Point guard Lonzo Ball and shooting guard Zach LaVine were among the main playmakers for Chicago as the former dropped a triple-double on 17 points, ten assists, and ten boards and the latter shot 6-for-9 from beyond the arc and finished with 32 points, five dimes and six rebounds. That’s Ball’s first triple-double of the season.
Detroit is out to make up for these teams’ matchup on Wednesday. They were within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap as they fell 94-88 to Chicago. A silver lining for the Pistons was the play of Jerami Grant, who had 24 points in addition to six rebounds.
The Bulls are the favorite in this one, with an expected 8-point margin of victory. They have been consistent moneymakers against the spread when favored (2-0), so they might be worth a quick bet.
Detroit’s defeat took them down to 0-1 while Chicago’s victory pulled them up to 2-0. We’ll see if Detroit can steal Chicago’s luck or if Chicago records another victory instead.
