Who’s Playing
Golden State @ Oklahoma City
Current Records: Golden State 3-0; Oklahoma City 0-3
What to Know
The Oklahoma City Thunder haven’t won a game against the Golden State Warriors since Nov. 25 of 2019, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Tuesday. The Thunder will stay at home another game and welcome Golden State at 8 p.m. ET Oct. 26 at Paycom Center. Golden State should still be feeling good after a win, while Oklahoma City will be looking to get back in the win column.
The contest between Oklahoma City and the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday was not a total blowout, but with Oklahoma City falling 115-103 at home, it was darn close to turning into one. Despite the loss, Oklahoma City got a solid performance out of shooting guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who had 29 points and eight assists along with six boards. Gilgeous-Alexander had some trouble finding his footing against the Houston Rockets this past Friday, so this was a step in the right direction.
Meanwhile, the Warriors strolled past the Sacramento Kings with points to spare on Sunday, taking the matchup 119-107. Golden State can attribute much of their success to point guard Stephen Curry, who posted a double-double on 27 points and ten dimes in addition to seven rebounds.
Oklahoma City is expected to lose this next one by 9. Those sticking with them against the spread have guts, to put it politely, as the team has let down bettors in all their past three games.
Oklahoma City is now 0-3 while Golden State sits at a mirror-image 3-0. A couple offensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: The Thunder are stumbling into the contest with the second fewest points per game in the league, having accrued only 93.3 on average. The Warriors’ offense has more to brag about, as they they come into the matchup boasting the fourth most points per game in the league at 118.3. So the cards are definitely stacked in their favor.
