Through 3 Quarters

Down two at the end of last quarter, the San Antonio Spurs have now snagged the lead. After three quarters neither squad has the game in the bag, but the Spurs lead 71-67 over the Milwaukee Bucks.

The top scorers for San Antonio have been shooting guard Bryn Forbes (16 points) and point guard Derrick White (15 points). Those points put Derrick White near his season high of 16.

Small forward Khris Middleton (16 points) and power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (15 points) have been the top scorers for Milwaukee. Giannis Antetokounmpo does need to be careful, however, as he is in foul trouble with four.

This is the least points the Bucks have had yet this season going into the fourth quarter.

What to Know

The Milwaukee Bucks will take on the San Antonio Spurs at 8 p.m. ET Saturday at Fiserv Forum after having had a few days off. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

The Bucks were within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 113-108 to the Minnesota Timberwolves. One thing holding Milwaukee back was the mediocre play of shooting guard Pat Connaughton, who did not have his best game: he played for 30 minutes but put up just six points on 2-for-11 shooting.

Meanwhile, San Antonio was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap on Thursday as they fell 104-99 to the Dallas Mavericks. The losing side was boosted by point guard Dejounte Murray, who almost dropped a triple-double on 23 points, ten boards, and eight assists.

Milwaukee is the favorite in this one, with an expected 7-point margin of victory. Those burned by picking them against the spread on Wednesday might want to keep in mind that the squad has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.

The losses put Milwaukee at 3-2 and San Antonio at 1-4. The Bucks don’t typically stay down for long — they’re 1-0 after losses this year — so the Spurs (0-3 after losses) won’t have an easy go of it.
