With Jonathan Isaac still on the shelf for the Magic, Orlando has often gone with Bamba and Wendell Carter Jr. on the floor at the same time. Bamba has been the more productive of the two thus far, with 13.1 points, nine rebounds and nearly two blocks per game.
On Monday, the Magic take on Minnesota, which over its last three games has seen offensive possessions end with a blocked shot 6.3 times per game. That number is the third-highest in the NBA during that stretch. Bamba has had a bit of a tumultuous start to his career, but appears to be turning a corner with the consistent minutes he’s been getting since the second half of last season.
