What to Know
After four games on the road, the Memphis Grizzlies are heading back home. They will square off against the Miami Heat at 8 p.m. ET Saturday at FedExForum. These two teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Memphis ultimately got the result they were hoping for on Thursday with a 104-101 victory over the Golden State Warriors. The win came about thanks to a strong surge after the first quarter to overcome a 37-20 deficit. The Grizz can attribute much of their success to point guard Ja Morant, who had 30 points and five assists along with seven boards.
Meanwhile, Miami didn’t have too much trouble with the Charlotte Hornets at home on Friday as they won 114-99. Small forward Jimmy Butler was the offensive standout of the game for the Heat, posting a double-double on 32 points and ten rebounds in addition to five assists.
Barring any buzzer beaters, the Grizz is expected to win a tight contest. Those interested in the spread don’t face an easy decision since they are 4-1 ATS and Miami 4-1.
Memphis had enough points to win and then some against Miami when the two teams previously met in April, taking their matchup 124-112. Will the Grizz repeat their success, or does Miami have a better game plan this time around? We’ll find out soon enough.
