Through 3 Quarters
The Indiana Pacers are giving their home crowd exactly what it was hoping to see. It’s anybody’s game after three quarters, but the Pacers are ahead of the New York Knicks 80-75.
Indiana has been led by power forward Myles Turner, who so far has shot 5-for-8 from downtown and has posted a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds along with two blocks. One thing to keep an eye out for is Domantas Sabonis’ foul situation as he currently sits at four.
Shooting guard R.J. Barrett has led the way so far for New York, as he has 21 points in addition to five boards. Barrett has also picked up four fouls, though.
This is the least points the Knicks have had yet this year going into the fourth quarter.

What to Know
The Indiana Pacers will play host again and welcome the New York Knicks to Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET Wednesday. Indiana will be strutting in after a victory while New York will be stumbling in from a defeat.
While not quite a landslide, the game between the Pacers and the San Antonio Spurs on Monday was still a pretty decisive one as Indiana wrapped it up with a 131-118 win at home. It was another big night for Indiana’s power forward Domantas Sabonis, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds in addition to six dimes.
Meanwhile, New York came up short against the Toronto Raptors on Monday, falling 113-104. The Knicks’ loss shouldn’t obscure the performances of shooting guard R.J. Barrett, who shot 5-for-8 from downtown and finished with 27 points and six boards, and power forward Julius Randle, who had 22 points and five assists along with nine rebounds.
Barring any buzzer beaters, Indiana is expected to win a tight contest. Those who got lucky with them against the spread on Monday might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the squad has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.
The Pacers’ victory brought them up to 2-6 while New York’s loss pulled them down to 5-2. Two stats to keep an eye on: Indiana is stumbling into the matchup with the fourth most points allowed per game in the league, having given up 113.3 on average. The Knicks’ offense has more to brag about, as they they rank third in the league when it comes to points per game, with 115.1 on average. Indiana might struggle to break 100.
