The Minnesota Timberwolves haven’t won a matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers since Feb. 8 of last year, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Wednesday. The Timberwolves’ homestand continues as they prepare to take on Los Angeles at 8 p.m. ET Nov. 3 at Target Center. Minnesota is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
The point spread favored Minnesota on Monday, but luck did not. They took a 115-97 bruising from the Orlando Magic. Despite the loss, Minnesota got a solid performance out of center Karl-Anthony Towns, who posted a double-double on 23 points and 16 rebounds in addition to six dimes.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles didn’t have too much breathing room in their contest with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, but they still walked away with a 99-94 win. The Clippers’ small forward Paul George did his thing and shot 5-for-8 from beyond the arc and finished with 32 points, seven assists and nine boards.
The Timberwolves are now 3-3 while Los Angeles sits at 2-4. Los Angeles is 0-1 after wins this season, and Minnesota is 1-1 after losses.
