Chelsea vs. Burnley: Premier League live stream, TV channel, watch online, odds, start time

Chelsea will be bidding to strength their lead at the top of the Premier League on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Burnley to Stamford Bridge. Thomas Tuchel’s side may have been reigned in by Manchester City following their early derby game, but victory over the Clarets would open up a six-point margin over Liverpool at least until Sunday.

Burnley visit west London riding high after an impressive 3-1 win over Brentford in their last Premier League outing, their first top-flight win of the campaign. Five of the six points they have won against Chelsea have come in the Premier League, it may be a tough ask to add to that however. Here is how you can watch the match and what you need to know:

Storylines

Chelsea: Gregg Berhalter will certainly be keeping a close eye on proceedings with Christian Pulisic in line for further minutes following his return from nearly two months out with an ankle injury. The U.S. international managed a brief cameo off the bench in a victory over Malmo and it seems likely he will get further minutes, as Thomas Tuchel looks to manage a frontline that will be without both Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku with Mason Mount also a doubt.

“We’re gonna see what kind of minutes he gets this weekend [against Burnley]. He just started training within the team the beginning of the week,” Berhalter said. “It was unexpected that he played against Malmo and he ended up playing a little bit.

“So for us, it’s about progressing him in a safe way. We know he’s valuable to the team. We know we want him on the field. But we’re also not willing to risk anything. It’s about how he feels, and depending on that will dictate what role he plays in these two games.”

Burnley: Whether the club hierarchy thought they were signing Sean Dyche a borderline center forward when they signed Maxwel Cornet from Lyon is up for debate, but they have certainly picked a surprising supply of goals in the Ivorian, who was nominated for Premier League Player of the Month after three goals in his last two games. Still his manager wants more.

“We are still working on the other sides of his game because in the Premier League the transition is very quick,” said Dyche. “We have to get some energy into his running rather than clapping the fans, he spends a lot of time clapping the fans but don’t worry I will knock that out of him soon.”

Prediction

Under Tuchel these have been the sort of games that Chelsea have won rather comfortably and there is little to suggest that might change now. PICK: Chelsea 2 Burnley 0
