UFC welterweight champion Karmau Usman and top contender Colby Covington are ready to throw down again. The two rivals will fight on Saturday night in the main event of UFC 268 from Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Usman already holds one TKO victory over Covington, stopping him in the fifth round of their first meeting in December 2019. Usman has defended his title three more times since that fight, beating Jorge Masvidal twice and also stopping Gilbert Burns. Covington only has fought once since the loss to Usman, beating former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley via TKO.
Also on the card, Weili Zhang rematches Rose Namajunas for the women’s strawweight championship. Namajunas ended Zhang’s title reign earlier this year, scoring a TKO after landing a huge head kick in the first round. The win made Namajunas the only woman in UFC history to regain a championship she previously lost in the Octagon.

The card also marks the return of a fight legend in a featured contest. Former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar continues his journey at bantamweight when he takes on Marlon Vera. Edgar, 40, has fought for the promotion for over 14 years with championship bouts at both 155 and 145 pounds. He made the move to 135 in August 2020, where he scored a split decision win over Pedro Munhoz to breathe life into aspirations of reaching the title once more. But a vicious knockout by Cory Sandhagen followed in February and now the veteran from New Jersey is looking to bounce back against one of the toughest customers at bantamweight in Vera, who has alternated wins and losses since 2020.
