Oregon climbed two spots to No. 5 in the latest iteration of the AP Top 25 on Sunday. The Ducks notched a tough 26-16 win over Washington, allowing them to leap No. 6 Ohio State, which had its own struggles in a road win over Nebraska during Saturday’s action. Oregon ranked seventh in the previous AP poll, but was pushed ahead of the Buckeyes — which, of course, remains the signature win on its schedule.

Cincinnati held onto the No. 2 spot after appearing at No. 6 in the initial playoff rankings. Alabama and Oklahoma held firm at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, with the Sooners enjoying a bye week. Michigan State dropped three spots after losing 40-29 to Purdue, but still stayed ahead of No. 9 Michigan thanks to its head-to-head win in Week 9. Wake Forest dropped three spots to No. 13 after a 58-55 loss to North Carolina, but remained in the top 15.

Wisconsin jumped back into the poll at No. 20 after decimating Rutgers 52-3 to continue a string of strong performances. Pitt also re-entered at No. 25, the same spot it holds in the playoff rankings. SMU, San Diego State and SMU all dropped from the AP poll following losses. Houston, conversely, moved up to No. 17, while UTSA jumped to No. 15 after crushing UTEP
