What you need to know about the Heat

Miami entered its game against the Boston Celtics on Thursday without any home losses, but took a hard 95-78 setback against Boston. Point guard Tyler Herro had a tough game, playing for 29 minutes but putting up just six points on 3-for-11 shooting.

However, Herro has generally been shooting the ball well this season and playing a massive role off the bench, averaging 20.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. With Kyle Lowry (ankle) listed as questionable for Saturday’s matchup, Jimmy Butler could spend a lot of time on the ball making Herro’s ability to work a defense for shots as an off-ball guard even more important.

What you need to know about the Jazz

Meanwhile, Utah captured a comfortable 116-98 win over the Hawks on Thursday. Point guard Jordan Clarkson was one of the most active players for the Jazz, picking up 30 points off the bench. Last year’s Sixth Man of the Year may have to keep up that pace in a primary scoring role given Utah’s injury situation.

Donovan Mitchell missed the last game with an ankle injury and is listed as questionable for Saturday’s matchup in Miami. With Royce O’Neale (ankle) also questionable, the Jazz may have to alter their rotation on the wing, which could mean more minutes for rookie Jared Butler, who has played just 5.5 minutes per game in the first eight games this season.
