What to Know
The Jacksonville Jaguars will take on the Buffalo Bills at 1 p.m. ET next Sunday at TIAA Bank Field. Buffalo will be strutting in after a win while the Jaguars will be stumbling in from a defeat.
A victory for Jacksonville just wasn’t in the stars on Sunday as the squad never even grasped a temporary lead. They have to be aching after a bruising 31-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Jacksonville was down 24 to nothing at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. No one had a standout game offensively for Jacksonville, but they got one touchdown from QB Trevor Lawrence.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up 3-3 at the half for Buffalo and the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, but the Bills stepped up in the second half for a 26-11 win. It was another big night for Buffalo’s QB Josh Allen, who passed for two TDs and 249 yards on 42 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 55 yards. Allen ended up with a passer rating of 134.60.
The Jaguars are now 1-6 while Buffalo sits at 5-2. A couple defensive stats to keep an eye on: Jacksonville is stumbling into the matchup with the fifth most rushing touchdowns allowed in the NFL, having given up ten on the season. The Bills’ defense has more to brag about, as they they come into the contest boasting the fewest touchdowns allowed in the league at 11.
