Combate Global returns to Paramount+ on Friday night with a one-night, eight-man tournament in the lightweight division. This callback to the old days of mixed martial arts is built around a theme of USA vs. Mexico.
Four quarterfinal fights will kick the action off from Univision Studios in Miami. An alternate bout is also set, with Mikey Gonzalez serving as a backup after his planned bout with Jake Childers was canceled.
In the only other fight scheduled for the event, women’s strawweights clash as Melissa Amaya clashes with Andrea Amaro.
