The Jamaican National Team has only reached the FIFA World Cup once in its history (1998), but armed with a handful of players who have experienced Premier League success entering 2022 Concacaf World Cup Qualifying, there were high hopes. However, with COVID-19 travel restrictions keeping Leon Bailey, Michail Antonio and company from playing, Jamaica only took five points from its first six games. Now, those stars are back in the fold and Jamaica will begin trying to climb out of the hole against El Salvador on Friday night. You can catch all the action live on Paramount+.
Kickoff is set for 9:05 p.m. ET at Estadio Cuscatlán in San Salvador, El Salvador. La Selecta is the +138 favorite (risk $100 to win $138) on the 90-minute money line in the latest Jamaica vs. El Salvador odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the Reggae Boyz are the +210 underdog. A draw is priced at +180 and the over-under for total goals scored is 1.5. Friday’s match will be streamed live on Paramount+ with their must-have Premium plan.

2022 World Cup qualifying picks for El Salvador vs. Jamaica
Before you tune in to Wednesday’s World Cup qualifiers, you need to see the Concacaf World Cup qualifiers picks from soccer handicapper Martin Green. After working in the sports betting industry for several years, Green became a professional sports writer and handicapper and has covered the game worldwide. Since then, his European soccer picks have been spot-on. Green has generated well over $36,000 for $100 bettors since the 2017-18 season, and he has his finger on the pulse of the game all over the globe.
For Jamaica vs. El Salvador, Green is backing Jamaica to get the win at +210. Jamaica currently sits sixth in the 2022 Concacaf World Cup Qualifying table with five points and is five points behind third-place Canada for an automatic qualifying spot and three points behind Panama for a chance to compete in a play-off.
However, the Jamaicans are coming off their first win of the final round of qualifying after beating Honduras 2-0 on Oct. 13. Now with Bailey returning to action and Antonio entering the fray after switching to Jamaica from the England national team earlier this year, the hopes is that they’ll be able to build off that momentum.
EFL Championship stars Andre Gray and Bobby Decordova-Reid will also be joining the squad and have the potential to make a major impact. Meanwhile, El Salvador has managed just two goals in six qualifiers and has lost three of its last four matches. It didn’t manage a shot on goal despite having a respectable 46 percent of the possession against Mexico on Oct. 13.
“Central defender Mario Jacobo was sent off in that game, so he will be suspended for this match. That does not augur particularly well for a clash with Antonio and Bailey,” Green told SportsLine. “Antonio has only made one appearance for Jamaica thus far, and he failed to find the back of the net, so he will be keen to put that right on Friday.”
