Through 3 Quarters
Down four at the end of last quarter, the Boston Celtics have now snagged the lead. They have emerged as the frontrunner after three quarters and are ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks 88-81.
The Celtics have been relying on point guard Marcus Smart, who has 17 points and five assists along with five boards, and small forward Jayson Tatum, who has dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds in addition to two blocks. This makes it three consecutive games in which Tatum has had at least ten rebounds.
Point guard George Hill (14 points), small forward Pat Connaughton (13 points), point guard Jrue Holiday (12 points), and shooting guard Grayson Allen (12 points) have been the top scorers for Milwaukee. Those points put George Hill near his season high of 15.
Milwaukee has lost 86% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this season, so this one seems just about wrapped up

What to Know
The Milwaukee Bucks and the Boston Celtics are even-steven against one another since November of 2015 (16-16), but not for long. The Bucks are staying on the road Friday to face off against Boston at 7:30 p.m. ET Nov. 12 at TD Garden.
Milwaukee had enough points to win and then some against the New York Knicks on Wednesday, taking their contest 112-100. Milwaukee’s small forward Pat Connaughton was one of the most active players for the team, shooting 7-for-13 from beyond the arc and finishing with 23 points, five assists and nine boards.
Meanwhile, Boston strolled past the Toronto Raptors with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the matchup 104-88. The squad ran away with 62 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those in the second to pick up the win. Center Robert Williams III was the offensive standout of the game for Boston, posting a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Milwaukee is expected to lose this next one by 5. The odds have been favorable for them against the spread on the road this season, even if it’s been tough sledding overall. They are 5-2 ATS in away games but only 6-6 all in all.
Their wins bumped the Bucks to 6-6 and the Celtics to 5-6. We’ll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Milwaukee and Boston clash.
