What you need to know about the Clippers

The Clippers made easy work of the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday and carried off a 129-102 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 70-43. In addition to George’s big scoring night, point guard Reggie Jackson added 21 points and four assists.

Jackson has played a big part in Los Angeles’ recent hot streak. He’s scored at least 20 points in five of his last six games. His best performance during that stretch was also his best game of the season thus far, when he finished with 29 points and eight assists in the Clippers’ first meeting with Minnesota on Nov. 3. The Clippers have been one of the league’s top 3-point shooting teams this season, and have made 36 percent of their attempts from distance.

What you need to know about the Bulls

Meanwhile, things couldn’t have gone much worse for the Bulls as they lost 119-93 to the Golden State Warriors on Friday. Chicago was down 86-62 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. Point guard Lonzo Ball had a rough night, and finished with just five points on 2-for-11 shooting.

The big story from Chicago’s last game was Warriors’ guard Stephen Curry dropping 40 points and passing Ray Allen for the most 3-pointers made all-time in regular season and playoff games. Curry’s performance shouldn’t have been too surprising, as the Bulls are one of the league’s worst at defending 3-pointers. Opponents have made 36 percent of their attempts from beyond the arc this year.
