Who’s Playing
Western Kentucky @ South Carolina
Current Records: Western Kentucky 1-1; South Carolina 1-1
What to Know
The South Carolina Gamecocks will take on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at 5 p.m. ET Sunday at Harrah’s Cherokee Center. These two teams are looking to take out their frustrations on one another after having lost close ones recently.
It was close but no cigar for USC as they fell 66-62 to the Princeton Tigers this past Friday. Guard James Reese V had a pretty forgettable game, finishing with only five points on 2-for-12 shooting in his 32 minutes on the court.
Speaking of close games: WKU was close but no cigar this past Friday as they fell 73-69 to the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Dayvion McKnight put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 34 points in addition to nine rebounds.
Barring any buzzer beaters, the Gamecocks are expected to win a tight contest. But bettors beware: they are 0-2 against the spread when favored.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Check back to see which squad is able to work their way into the win column.
