What you need to know about the Jazz

The Jazz fell 111-100 to the Pacers on Thursday. It was the first home loss of the season for Utah. Despite the defeat, Utah got a solid performance out of shooting guard Donovan Mitchell, who had 26 points in addition to five boards. Mitchell leads the team with 25.9 points per game and he’s the main source of offense since no other player averages more than 17 points per game.

Rudy Gobert is an all-around presence who averages 15 points, 12.3 rebounds and 1.8 block per game. Bojan Bogdanovic averages 16.3 points per game, while veteran guards Mike Conley (14.7 ppg) and Jordan Clarkson (14.3 ppg) are among the other leading scorers on the team.

What you need to know about the Heat

Meanwhile, the Heat fell 112-109 to the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday. Miami was up 40-25 at the end of the first quarter but couldn’t hold on to the lead. Shooting guard Duncan Robinson had a tough game, playing for 26 minutes but putting up just six points on 2-for-13 shooting.

Jimmy Butler is the team’s leading scorer with 23.6 points per game, but he’s questionable for this one (ankle). If he can’t go, that’ll put a lot more on the plate of Tyler Herro (21.1 ppg) and Bam Adebayo (20.3 pgg), who has a tough matchup against Gobert in this one.
