NBA DFS: Anthony Davis and top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for Nov. 15, 2021

NBA DFS: Anthony Davis and top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for Nov. 15, 2021

When a quality starter gets hurt, the usual move is to look for a bargain performance from the next man up when making NBA DFS picks. The Atlanta Hawks announced on Sunday night that starting small forward De’Andre Hunter will miss up to eight weeks following wrist surgery. Cam Reddish theoretically benefits from the extra opportunity, but when he was a starter in the past for Atlanta, his numbers weren’t better than they’ve been with him coming off the bench this season.

Tonight, the Hawks play the Orlando Magic, who Reddish has only averaged 8.3 points and 2.8 rebounds against in four career games. Extra scoring opportunities tend to favor stars rather than replacements, so looking at point guard Trae Young may be the better move on sites like FanDuel or DraftKings. He has scored 72 points over his last two games, and averages a robust 25.6 points and 7.5 assists against Orlando. So, before locking in your NBA DFS lineups for Monday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

On Sunday, McClure listed Trail Blazers guard Anfernee Simons as one of his top NBA DFS picks on FanDuel and DraftKings. The result: With Damian Lillard out of the lineup, Simons stepped up with 16 points, five rebounds and four assists to return 30.25 points on DraftKings and 30 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Monday, November 15 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Monday, November 15

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Monday is Lakers power forward Anthony Davis at $10,400 on DraftKings and $10,700 on FanDuel. Davis is coming off one of his best performances of the season against San Antonio, when he scored 34 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and added two blocks and a steal to put up 69.75 points on DraftKings and 69 points on FanDuel.

The Lakers take on the Chicago Bulls on Monday night, and Chicago has allowed opponents to make nearly 60 percent of their field goal attempts within five feet of the rim. The Bulls have been much better at defending mid-range shots, so Davis should be doing most of his work around the basket, where he has made 75 percent of his attempts this season. Davis isn’t afraid to pull up and shoot, but 37 percent of his field goal attempts this season have come at the hoop.

Part of McClure’s NBA DFS strategy also includes rostering Wizards guard Spencer Dinwiddie ($7,200 on DraftKings, $6,500 on FanDuel). Dinwiddie is coming off of his second-best game this season, where he scored 23 points with 11 rebounds against the Orlando Magic on November 13.

The Wizards host the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday, who have been a bottom-ten defense against opposing point guards. New Orleans won its last game against Memphis on Saturday, but point guard Ja Morant finished one rebound short of a triple-double with a game-high 22 points. In home games this season, Dinwiddie has played more minutes than in road games and averaged 16.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists.
