The Merrimack Warriors are staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Army West Point Black Knights at 6 p.m. ET Nov. 17 at Christl Arena. Army should still be feeling good after a win, while the Warriors will be looking to get back in the win column.
Merrimack received a tough blow this past Saturday as they fell 48-35 to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Ziggy Reid had a pretty forgettable game, finishing with only three points on 1-for-11 shooting in his 37 minutes on the court.
Meanwhile, Army was able to grind out a solid victory over the Hartford Hawks this past Saturday, winning 86-79.
Merrimack and Army now sit at an identical 2-1. Two stats to keep an eye on: The Warriors enter the contest with 12 steals per game on average, good for 20th best in college basketball. Less enviably, the Black Knights have allowed their opponents an average of 9.3 steals per game, the 41st most in college basketball. In other words, they will need to work extra hard to take care of the ball.
