Who’s Playing
New Hamp. @ Providence
Current Records: New Hamp. 1-1; Providence 3-0
What to Know
The New Hamp. Wildcats’ road trip will continue as they head to Dunkin’ Donuts Center at 6:30 p.m. ET on Thursday to face off against the Providence Friars. New Hamp. will be seeking to avenge the 76-62 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played Nov. 30 of 2016.
The Wildcats were within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap this past Friday as they fell 75-70 to the Marquette Golden Eagles. New Hamp.’s loss came about despite a quality game from Jayden Martinez, who had 21 points along with eight boards.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn’t a dominant performance, Providence beat the Wisconsin Badgers 63-58 on Monday. Providence can attribute much of their success to center Nate Watson, who had 24 points in addition to six rebounds.
Providence’s victory lifted them to 3-0 while New Hamp.’s defeat dropped them down to 1-1. We’ll see if Providence can repeat their recent success or if New Hamp. bounces back and reverse their fortune.
