Combate Global returns to Paramount+ on Friday at midnight with a card heavy on action in the lighter weight classes. Topping the event is a flyweight main event between Gerardo Graniel and Ernesto Ibarra.
Graniel started his career with six straight victories, including an odd run of three consecutive wins by split decision. After suffering back-to-back losses, Graniel debuted in Combate Global in September, scoring a second-round victory when his opponent suffered a knee injury.
Ibarra has followed a similar career path, winning his first five professional bouts before that winning streak was snapped this past May. Ibarra’s first loss came against Alan Cantu Garcia, a bout that was also Ibarra’s debut for Combate Global.
