Who’s Playing

Colorado State @ Hawaii

Current Records: Colorado State 3-7; Hawaii 4-7

What to Know

The Colorado State Rams and the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors are set to square off in a Mountain West matchup at 11 p.m. ET Nov. 20 at Clarence T.C. Ching Complex. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they’ll have plenty of motivation to get the ‘W.’

The Rams came up short against the Air Force Falcons last week, falling 35-21. No one had a standout game offensively for Colorado State, but they got two touchdowns from RB David Bailey.

Meanwhile, it was all tied up 10-10 at halftime, but Hawaii was not quite the UNLV Rebels’ equal in the second half when they met last week. Hawaii fell to UNLV 27-13. WR Nick Mardner put forth a good effort for the losing side as he caught four passes for one TD and 119 yards. Near the top of the highlight reel was Chevan Cordeiro’s 79-yard TD bomb to Mardner in the first quarter.

This next contest is expected to be close, with Colorado State going off at just a 2.5-point favorite. Now might not be the best time to take the Rams against the spread since they’ve let down bettors for the past four consecutive games.

The losses put Colorado State at 3-7 and the Rainbow Warriors at 4-7. A couple defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Colorado State is 194th worst in the nation in passing touchdowns allowed, with 17 on the season. Hawaii has experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the game with the 226th most touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 40 on the season. It’s possible one of these Achilles’ heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
