Ball State vs. Massachusetts: How to watch live stream, TV channel, NCAAB start time

Who’s Playing

Massachusetts @ Ball State

Current Records: Massachusetts 3-2; Ball State 1-3

What to Know

The Ball State Cardinals will take on the Massachusetts Minutemen at 2:30 p.m. ET on Sunday at McArthur Center. UMass will be strutting in after a win while the Cardinals will be stumbling in from a loss.

The contest between Ball State and the Weber State Wildcats on Friday was not a total blowout, but with Ball State falling 85-74, it was darn close to turning into one. Guard Luke Bumbalough (14 points), center Payton Sparks (13 points), and forward Mickey Pearson Jr. (12 points) were the top scorers for Ball State.

Meanwhile, things were close when UMass and the UNCG Spartans clashed on Friday, but the Minutemen ultimately edged out the opposition 93-90. UMass got double-digit scores from four players: guard Noah Fernandes (25), forward Trent Buttrick (18), guard Rich Kelly (14), and forward Dibaji Walker (12). Kelly had some trouble finding his footing against Weber State on Thursday, so this was a step in the right direction.

Ball State is now 1-3 while UMass sits at 3-2. A pair of defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Ball State has allowed their opponents to shoot 46.60% from the floor on average, which is the 40th highest shooting percentage allowed in college basketball. The Minutemens have had an even harder time: they have allowed their opponents to shoot 47.30% from the floor on average, which is the 30th highest shooting percentage allowed in college basketball. The good news? The teams might be seeing more of their shots fall.
