The Kansas State Wildcats haven’t won a game against the Baylor Bears since Sept. 30 of 2017, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Saturday. K-State and Baylor will face off in a Big 12 battle at 5:30 p.m. ET at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.
While not quite a landslide, the contest between the Wildcats and the West Virginia Mountaineers last week was still a pretty decisive one as K-State wrapped it up with a 34-17 victory at home. It was another big night for K-State’s RB Deuce Vaughn, who rushed for one TD and 121 yards on 25 carries.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up 7-7 at the half for Baylor and the Oklahoma Sooners last week, but the Bears stepped up in the second half for a 27-14 win. Baylor’s QB Gerry Bohanon was on fire, passing for one TD and 117 yards on 21 attempts in addition to rushing for two TDs and 107 yards. That nimble footwork stands out as the first time Bohanon has hit the 100-yard rushing mark this season.
This next matchup is expected to be close, with the Wildcats going off at just a 2.5-point favorite. They are currently three-for-three against the spread in their most recent games, a trend bettors might want to take into account.
