Fantasy Football Early Week 12 Waiver Wire: Elijah Moore looking like a second-half league winner

Here are some of the players we’ll be targeting ahead of Week 12

Conventional wisdom is that rookie wide receivers tend to break out in the second half of the season, and Elijah Moore is doing everything he can to prove that true with his performance of late. Jets second-rounder entered Sunday’s game with 195 yards and three touchdowns on 20 targets in his previous three games, but he had his best game by far Sunday against the Dolphins.

Playing with third-string QB Joe Flacco, Moore was the star of the Jets offense, leading the team with 11 targets (28% target share), and he turned that into eight catches for 141 yards and a touchdown. It was a career-high in catches and his first 100-yard game ever, and he now has 336 yards on 24 catches over the past four games — with at least 13.1 PPR points in each game.

If you remember back to the preseason, Moore was the talk of Jets camp from basically the moment he stepped on the field in minicamps. The 34th overall pick was drawing comparisons to Antonio Brown during camp and was, by all accounts, the team’s best offensive player. He suffered a quad injury during training camp that derailed him, and then a concussion also limited early in the season, but he’s hitting his stride now. And he’s been doing it while mostly playing less than a full-time snap share.

The Jets are in the middle of another dreadful season, especially on the offensive side of the ball, and they need all of the positive signs they can get. Moore is showing signs of being a potential superstar, and he’s rostered in just 60% of CBS Fantasy leagues.

Moore is going to be one of the top targets on waivers for Week 12, and I could even see him being a bigger priority than Darnell Mooney or Brandon Aiyuk where they are available — both are around 20% rostered right now. Both are showing signs of breaking out and both had big games Sunday, but Moore could be the legitimate No. 1 wide receiver for the Jets moving forward, and he might be every bit as talented as either Mooney or Aiyuk. You’ll want him on your team.

Here’s who else we’ll be looking for add for Week 12:
