Who’s Playing
Wright State @ George Washington
Current Records: Wright State 1-2; George Washington 1-4
What to Know
The Wright State Raiders will square off against the George Washington Colonials at 2:30 p.m. ET on Monday at Community School of Naples. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season averages.
Wright State took a serious blow against the Purdue Boilermakers on Tuesday, falling 96-52. The Raiders’ defeat shouldn’t obscure the performances of Tanner Holden, who had 17 points along with seven boards, and Trey Calvin, who had 21 points.
Meanwhile, George Washington ended up a good deal behind the UMass Lowell River Hawks when they played on Friday, losing 67-56.
The losses put Wright State at 1-2 and George Washington at 1-4. Two stats to keep an eye on: Wright State is stumbling into the game with the 11th most points allowed per game in college basketball, having given up 81.7 on average. The Colonials have experienced some struggles of their own as they are 34th worst in college basketball in points per game, with only 61.8 on average. It’s possible one of these Achilles’ heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
