The Golden State Warriors will be returning home after a four-game road trip. They will take on the Toronto Raptors at 8:30 p.m. ET on Sunday at Chase Center. Golden State is out to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
It was a close one, but this past Friday the Dubs sidestepped the Detroit Pistons for a 105-102 victory. Shooting guard Jordan Poole was the offensive standout of the game for the Warriors, picking up 32 points in addition to seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Toronto had enough points to win and then some against the Sacramento Kings this past Friday, taking their contest 108-89. Toronto’s center Pascal Siakam was one of the most active players for the squad, picking up 32 points along with eight boards.
Golden State is the favorite in this one, with an expected 8.5-point margin of victory. They have been good against the spread at home while Toronto has been good against the spread on the road, so something will have to give.
The wins brought Golden State up to 14-2 and the Raptors to 8-9. Two numbers to keep in mind before tip-off: The Dubs come into the matchup boasting the most steals per game in the league at 10.13. But Toronto enters the matchup with only 6.7 steals given up per game on average, which is the best in the league. Ball control might end up being a major factor in this one.
