After losing eight of nine games played between October 28 and November 12, the Atlanta Hawks have flipped a switch and won four in a row. One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Monday is Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell at $8,500 on DraftKings and $8,300 on FanDuel. Mitchell is coming off of his best performance since November 11, when he scored 26 points with five rebounds and five assists in a win against Sacramento on Saturday.
On Monday, the Jazz host Memphis, and the Grizzlies have been a bottom-10 Fantasy defense against opposing shooting guards. Among the teams that Mitchell played at least two games against last season, he had his second-highest scoring average (35 points per game), fourth-most assists (6.5 per game) and second-highest 3-point percentage (71.4) against the Grizzlies. Against the Timberwolves on Saturday, Memphis allowed D’Angelo Russell to score 28 points and hit 60 percent of his field-goal attempts.
Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Milwaukee F/C Bobby Portis at $6,300 on FanDuel and $7,200 on DraftKings. Portis had his best scoring performance of the season on Saturday in a win against Orlando.
