What to Know
The #15 Houston Cougars will take on the Butler Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. ET on Monday at Michelob Ultra Arena. Houston will be strutting in after a victory while Butler will be stumbling in from a loss.
The Cougars made easy work of the Virginia Cavaliers on Tuesday and carried off a 67-47 win. Houston’s guard Marcus Sasser filled up the stat sheet, picking up 19 points.
Meanwhile, Butler suffered a grim 73-52 defeat to the Michigan State Spartans on Wednesday. Guard Chuck Harris wasn’t much of a difference maker for Butler; Harris played for 36 minutes with 4-for-16 shooting and four turnovers.
Butler’s defeat took them down to 3-1 while Houston’s win pulled them up to 3-0. We’ll see if the Bulldogs can steal the Cougars’ luck or if Houston records another win instead.
