Through 3 Quarters
The Boston Celtics were the heavy favorites here for a reason. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Houston Rockets 90-65 three quarters in.
Boston has been riding high on the performance of small forward Jayson Tatum, who has 26 points along with six rebounds. One thing to keep an eye out for is Jaylen Brown’s foul situation as he currently sits at four.
Houston has been led by point guard Armoni Brooks, who so far has 14 points.
If the game were over now, this would be the Celtics’ biggest margin of victory yet this year.

What to Know
The Boston Celtics will play host again and welcome the Houston Rockets to TD Garden, where tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET Monday. The Celtics are out to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
Boston didn’t have too much breathing room in their matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder this past Saturday, but they still walked away with a 111-105 win. It was another big night for Boston’s small forward Jayson Tatum, who shot 6-for-12 from downtown and finished with 33 points, five assists and eight boards. Tatum’s night made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 33 points.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up 47-47 at halftime, but Houston was not quite the New York Knicks’ equal in the second half when they met this past Saturday. Houston came up short against New York, falling 106-99. The top scorers for the Rockets were power forward Christian Wood (18 points) and shooting guard Jalen Green (16 points).
The Celtics are the favorite in this one, with an expected 11.5-point margin of victory. Those playing the odds have seen things go back and forth with Boston, who are 9-8 against the spread.
Boston’s victory lifted them to 9-8 while Houston’s loss dropped them down to 1-15. We’ll see if Boston can repeat their recent success or if Houston bounces back and reverse their fortune.
