What to Know
The Brown Bears will square off against the Quinnipiac Bobcats on the road at 4 p.m. ET Sunday at People’s United Center. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
The Bears entered their game against the Bryant Bulldogs this past Friday without any home losses — but there’s a first time for everything. Brown was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap as they fell 65-59 to Bryant.
As for Quinnipiac, it looks like they got the smaller half of the wishbone at Thanksgiving dinner. They took a hard 84-69 fall against the New Hamp. Wildcats last week.
Barring any buzzer beaters, Brown is expected to win a tight contest. Those burned by picking them against the spread this past Friday might want to keep in mind that the squad has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.
Brown came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bobcats when the teams previously met two seasons ago, sneaking past 70-68. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won’t have home-court advantage. We’ll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
