Who’s Playing

Jackson State @ Marquette

Current Records: Jackson State 1-5; Marquette 6-1

What to Know

The Jackson State Tigers’ road trip will continue as they head to Fiserv Forum at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday to face off against the Marquette Golden Eagles. The Tigers will be seeking to avenge the 80-61 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played Nov. 29 of 2015.

Even if it wasn’t a dominant performance, Jackson State beat the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns 75-70 this past Saturday.

Meanwhile, Marquette strolled past the Northern Illinois Huskies with points to spare this past Saturday, taking the game 80-66. Four players on Marquette scored in the double digits: forward Justin Lewis (15), guard Stevie Mitchell (11), guard Darryl Morsell (10), and guard Tyler Kolek (10).

Jackson State have to know they’ll be fighting an uphill battle given the 19.50 point spread they are up against. However, those who like betting on the underdog should be happy to hear that they are 4-2 against the spread when expected to lose.

Their wins bumped Jackson State to 1-5 and the Golden Eagles to 6-1. We’ll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when the Tigers and Marquette clash.
